It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over five decades.

It's difficult for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

In the end, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the 19-year-old niece of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has witnessed all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory arrived three months after her debut and seven international trophies have followed from 10 efforts across formats.

The tough gloveman was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India briefly halted the run of success.

That loss "pushed us to reevaluate our levels," Healy commented earlier.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the championship match and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display is debatable.

Some will argue the argument supporting championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

She was tormented by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's motivation.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from that point the right-hander was on her way.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she afterwards commented she regretted not playing despite the injury.

Yet even as she later admitted those physical issues have delayed consideration of ending her career, this championship is expected to be her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as leader.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
