The safety agency announced it is probing the plane’s maintenance history, which was in Texas for fixes a period before the crash.

Aviation information indicated the jet was on the ground in that location from 3 September to mid-October.

“We are knowledgeable that this plane was there in San Antonio,” said an official on later, without a precise date range. “We will review each aspect of service that was completed, even the Texas period, straight to the time of the trip.”

The audio device and data recorder were found, and the engine was discovered on the tarmac.

The units – referred to as data containers – were constructed to survive collision damage and severe heat from fires, and they looked to be undamaged when located amid the crash debris. Officials intend to examining recordings from the devices.

Jet’s final recorded information displayed an elevation of 475 feet and a rate of 210 miles per hour ahead of the impact.

A memorial was conducted on the evening of 6 November by the regional labor union, which acts for workers at the aviation hub, the organization’s biggest shipping facility.

Teamsters Local 89, which represents staff, began the gathering with a period of reflection at 5.14pm, the estimated hour of the incident two days earlier.

“This tragedy was so abrupt, so unexpected,” the leader told the group of 200. “No one had a moment to say goodbye to any one of those who we have lost.”
